Is Laser Teeth Whitening Really The Best Way To Whiten Your Teeth?
I really want to get laser teeth whitening for graduation, but i have been using crest whitestrips and i haven’t noticed much of a difference- whether it be because they arent working or I just can’t tell because i use it on all of my teeth. If it really is the best, then does it hurt?

There are tw options for whitening your teeth
1) power bleaching, this involves lying in the chair for up to an hour under a light source, like you mentioned. immediate effects are noticeable however the teeth can look noticeably whiter after this sort of treatment due to dehydration of the teeth. it is however still very good if you want instant results. on the down side its more expensive than option 2 and our practice charges £375
2) you can ask the dentist to make you bleaching trays for night use with whitening gel. this can be used for as long as you feel necessary to get the results you want. results may be dependant on the strength of the whitening gel which varies depending on the dentists choice of purchase. this option is less expensive but it may take up to 2 weeks to see noticeable results. we charge £275 for this
whitening can cause tooth sensitivity which can be painful but is only short term
good luck

Hey, As with any kind of laser treatment our cant guarantee the results but I can tell you abit about how it works, my friend had it done at a clinic and got good results, but not as good as he wanted originally. This is tthe info I got from a clinics website.
“During this procedure a rubber dam is put over your teeth to protect the gums, and a bleaching product is painted onto your teeth. Then a light or laser is shone on the teeth to activate the chemical. The light speeds up the chemical reaction of the whitening product and the colour change can be achieved more quickly using this procedure. Laser whitening is said to make teeth up to five or six shades lighter.”
I think a safer bet for results would be to get them bleached but if laser turns out well for your theey could be even better.

In-office treatments might be a lot more effective than strips, but they are also a lot more expensive. There is also an option “halfway” which is using trays with gel at home which is stronger than strips. You have to watch out for enamel damage, though.
You can compare all the different methods, their costs effectiveness and risks, here: http://the-dental-makeover.com/whiten-te…

laser teeth whitening would work but in the long run, it only strips the enamel off your teeth.
