Tooth Infection - How Long Before It Becomes A Real Danger To Your Health?

September 17, 2009

Hello,
I put off a bad tooth infection for 2-3 months now (just because I dont like dentists), but then the pain became unbearable so I decided I had to go! He is putting me on antibiotics, but is it possible the infection has spread? Is it possible its too late and this will kill me even if i start the antibiotics tomorrow???
So how long does a tooth infection really neeed to cause some damage to your health?
Thanks,
Adam

The antibiotics will take care of it.
    Trust your doctor.

One of the problems you face with an infection in a tooth is the infection spreading into the jaw. That is when real problems start. I’m sure he took an x-ray to make sure the infection was not at this stage or he has set up another appointment with you. Good Luck

You are two months too late to ask this question. Never neglct a tooth disorder for more than a fortnight’s time.At least now, tke care. urgently.

Doctors now understand the connection between heart health and oral health. A raging oral infection can effect the heart from early on. At 2-3 months, I hope you have acted in time and all systems are fine.

antibiotics can only heal pain and kill germs for only a few days but after that it will still come back. if i were you go to the dentist it won’t harm you anyway coz they will inject you with anesthesia and it won’t hurt after it will only build a lot of pus inside your tooth even worst if the dentis will open your bad tooth and you’ll be surprise what’s inside (worm) and your face will get bigger because of the infection
